8 c. old fashion rolled oats (not the quick oats)
1 c. raw wheat germ
1/2 c. ground flax seed
1 1/2 to 2 c. nuts (I usually do a half cup of sliced almonds, 1/2 c. pumpkin kernels 1/2 c sunflower seeds and some cashews)...
1/2 c cocoa powder
optional: unsweetened shredded coconut 1 c.
Mix
In a stove pan barely melt
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c water
1/2 c. coconut oil
optional: 1 Tbsp maple or vanilla
Mix liquid and dry ingredients together (this will take a bit)
Put on cookie sheets and bake at 250, stiring every 20 minutes till dry. This will take 45-90 min. Sprinkle with a little dried fruit or fresh fruit.
*optional, soak any of the nuts and seeds to sprout overnight and add them to your granola in the morning for added nutrition.
*all the items are found in the bulk section of winco. I would suggest getting them raw so they still have the enzymes.
